First Quarter 2012 has been a very busy time for SOCMA President & CEO Lawrence Sloan. Making tracks all over the United States, Sloan visited the facilities of six member companies in between attending various industry events occurring as well. Avatar was hosting a group of chemistry students from a local community college the day of the visit. They recently conducted a similar tour earlier this month. Their involvement in reaching out to the local community is to hire intern students periodically. BASF
