For the fourth straight year,
Huffmaster traveled to Baltimore, MD, for the annual
Chemical Sector Security Summit, a major event for those in the chemical security arena.
As a national security provider specializing in
CFATS compliance, our company recognizes the value in attending and exhibiting at the two-day event. This year, as in years past, we had fruitful discussions on a variety of chemical security issues with existing and prospective clients, government officials, as well as other stakeholders.
Talks centered on providing companies assistance with completing or evaluating their Site Security Plans, as well as assisting them with their planned measures. We were especially pleased that many expressed interest in our consulting services and our remote video monitoring capabilities which allow Huffmaster to watch over critical assets at client facilities.
Huffmaster is already looking forward to making its fifth trip to the Summit. As a new SOCMA member, we hope the association and DHS continue to grow industry participation in the event. We believe there is a significant number of small to mid-size chemical companies that do not have robust internal security departments or resources and would find great benefit in this event.
